The Role: As our Business Development Manager (Supply Chain Industry) you'll be the captain of our growth ship, charting new territories and conquering new markets. Your mission? To expand our customer base and send our revenue soaring! You'll be at the forefront of acquiring new clients and fueling our growth engine. Your days will be filled with strategic outreach, networking endeavors, and implementing innovative strategies to maximize revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and nurture business opportunities: formulate and implement strategies to expand our customer base, and maximize revenue generation.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, cultivating a diverse portfolio of prospective clients and key stakeholders to drive mutual growth.
  • Emphasize teamwork: where reaching out, closing deals, and being rewarded are all done collaboratively.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the sales process, identifying areas for optimization and implementing effective sales techniques.
  • Foster close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product development, and customer support to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Promote a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring customer needs and expectations are met or exceeded.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of business development experience, ideally within the transportation logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and building strong client relationships.
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals effectively.
  • Strong Excel skills: effectively organize and analyze data, create reports and presentations, and make data-driven decisions.
  • In-depth understanding of the transportation brokerage sector, including market trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices.
  • Effective listening and communication skills, capable of presenting information to an audience and influencing others.
  • Ability to bring fresh ideas and bold initiatives to the table, challenging the status quo and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and develop strategic plans.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
