About the position

The Business Development Manager for Mining at Micromine is responsible for driving new business growth within the mining industry by leveraging next-generation technology solutions. This role involves initiating and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders, managing the end-to-end sales cycle, and developing strategic accounts to meet clients' technical needs.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end sales process, including nurturing prospects, demonstrating solutions, handling objections, and closing deals.
  • Focusing on proactive prospecting, lead generation, and building strong client relationships.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the mining industry.
  • Developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Participating in marketing events such as trade shows, conferences, and product launches.
  • Building strategic relationships with key clients, including Geologists and Engineers.
  • Staying informed about mining industry trends and market demands.

Requirements

  • Minimally 2+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of success in the mining industry.
  • Experience with selling software/SaaS solutions or mining technology.
  • 5+ years of experience within the mining and/or geology industry.
  • Strong ability to identify, pursue, and close net new business opportunities.
  • Experience identifying potential clients, initiating outreach, and qualifying leads to build a robust pipeline.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Ability to travel for work as required.
