About the position

Global Nexis Solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead our new growth initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving solutions (SaaS) and data (DaaS) sales within a defined geographic territory, specifically targeting small and midsize businesses. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal business partners to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with our organizational goals. This position requires a proactive approach to building and nurturing relationships, both internally and externally, to foster growth and achieve sales targets. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the SMB corporate for-profit sector. Utilizing value-based and consultative selling techniques, you will effectively communicate the value of LexisNexis's products and services through personal presentations and well-crafted proposals. You will manage your sales pipeline diligently, ensuring accurate financial forecasting, activity tracking, and strategic territory planning to meet and exceed sales quotas. In addition to developing account strategies in partnership with the Nexis Solution Sales, Product, and Marketing teams, you will prepare detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly action plans to drive your sales efforts. Proficiency in Salesforce and other automation tools will be essential for tracking your progress and optimizing your sales processes. This role not only demands impressive direct sales experience in a professional service, software, or SaaS environment but also requires the ability to connect with executive-level audiences and make informed decisions that drive business success.

Responsibilities

  • Developing new business opportunities in the SMB corporate for-profit sector using value/consultative based selling techniques.
  • Communicating effectively the value of LexisNexis's products and services via personal presentations and clearly written proposals.
  • Managing pipeline, financial forecasting, activity tracking, and strategic territory planning to achieve sales quotas.
  • Defining account strategies that enable sales by partnering with Nexis Solution Sales, Product, and Marketing teams.
  • Preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly action plans to drive sales efforts.
  • Utilizing Salesforce and additional automation tools for tracking and managing sales activities.

Requirements

  • Impressive direct sales experience in a professional service, software, or SaaS environment; experience selling API and DaaS.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills and the ability to present and connect with executive-level audiences.
  • Results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
  • Ability to travel to events and in-person meetings.
