About the position

The Business Development Manager (BDM) at Ole Mexican Foods is responsible for leading and motivating a team of Territory Sales Representatives within the assigned geography. The BDM will build strong relationships with key retailers and independent operators, ensuring the delivery of company sales objectives and key performance indicators. This role requires a focus on collaboration, strategic planning, and execution of sales programs to enhance brand visibility and sales performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Territory Sales Representatives.
• Build strong relationships with key retailers and independent operators.
• Deliver on all company sales objectives and key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with Regional and Division Manager on activities and communications.
• Budgeting, planning, and internal communication for key customers.
• Sell and execute sales programs for all retailers, including national, regional, and independent customers.
• Plan and lead execution of promotional and marketing programs.
• Identify, solicit, and secure new business to increase brand ACV.
• Create and design displays to enhance sales and brand exposure.
• Implement shelf schematics/planograms for local managed accounts.
• Ensure weekly customer visits with key retailers to build relationships and negotiate display opportunities.

Requirements

• College Degree or Equivalent DSD experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Retail Sales and/or Account Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in team environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual candidates (Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Experience interacting with Independent Operators.
