As a Business Development Manager at Sealed Air Corporation, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth within your designated territory through the sales of machinery and consumables. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement effective territory-level strategies and tactics aimed at acquiring new business and reclaiming lost business opportunities. This will involve maximizing product sales and increasing market share for a range of products, including Autobag, Sidepouch, FloWrap, StealthWrap, and PriorityPak machinery and materials. You will be expected to achieve sales plans and new account goals for all assigned product lines, ensuring that you meet or exceed performance expectations. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Channel team to execute corporate strategies and programs effectively. A significant part of your role will involve assisting Channel partners in enhancing their product sales knowledge and system selling capabilities, enabling them to effectively target and promote our products in their respective markets. You will also provide essential product, sales, and applications training to Channel sales representatives, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed. Utilizing CRM tools, you will maintain timely and accurate updates on lead status and sales pipeline, reviewing your sales pipeline with the Regional Sales Director at least twice a month to focus on accurately projecting close dates. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing quarterly business summary reports for key accounts, Channel partners, and competitive market activity. Working effectively as part of a team with internal Sealed Air personnel in customer service, quality assurance, field service, applications, marketing, pricing, and other operations will be essential to your success in this role. You will also need to manage travel and entertainment costs while overseeing all field sales demo machinery.
