As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Ryder, you will play a crucial role in driving new customer business within your assigned sales territory. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams, including Account Representatives (ARs) and Customer Development Managers (CDMs), to transition accounts and enhance sales opportunities. You will also work closely with National Sales to generate new leads and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers. Your ability to conduct thorough needs assessments and prepare value-based proposals will be essential in identifying and addressing the specific requirements of prospects. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting sales activities to management, ensuring compliance with sales protocols, and fostering supportive relationships with internal teams.
