This role is crucial for developing new customer business within your assigned sales territory. You will be responsible for educating and developing prospects' value perception of Ryder's services by utilizing the Ryder Sales Process. This involves creating sales plans, analyzing the profitability of prospects, and understanding the competitive influences and risks associated with each account. This is a straight hunter role, and we are looking for someone who is eager to pursue new business opportunities. The position requires ground travel and includes a competitive salary, company cell phone, mileage reimbursement, and excellent monthly commission payout potential. Some travel may also be required for training purposes. In this role, you will develop a pre-sales strategy for target accounts and maintain a sales activity pipeline sufficient to meet and exceed required quota revenues. You will respond proactively to leads, represent the full spectrum of Ryder services, and collaborate with Account Representatives (ARs) and Customer Development Managers (CDMs) to transition accounts and increase sales opportunities. Additionally, you will work with National Sales to generate sales opportunities within your territory and ensure that new customer orientation is completed. Your responsibilities will also include identifying prospect needs through quality assessments and developing account selling strategies to improve effectiveness. You will be expected to report sales activity to management and create supportive working relationships with various departments to leverage resources for expanding new opportunities.
