About the position

The Business Development Manager at Employbridge is responsible for attracting new customers and maintaining existing relationships through various communication channels. This role involves engaging with decision-makers, targeting quality leads, and providing consultative account management. The position requires a competitive spirit and the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels, ultimately driving sales and expanding the company's market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Attracts new and maintains existing customer relationships via phone, social media, face-to-face meetings, and email.
  • Engages with decision makers during the buying process.
  • Targets higher quality leads and leverages existing partnerships to expand the prospect funnel.
  • Acts as a market leader through connections with networking groups, trade associations, and social media groups.
  • Engages in pre-call planning using market research to gain insights into customer challenges.
  • Provides consultative account management, post-sale support, frequent contact, and follow-up.
  • Leads strategic market-related conversations with customers and presents upsell opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, particularly in a consultative role.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with C-suite executives and other decision-makers.
  • Ability to build and grow a book of business in a local territory.
  • Experience meeting or exceeding sales goals through innovative methods.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with social selling and platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Familiarity with sales technologies such as Lead Gen, Vidyard, and Zoom.
