About the position

The Business Development Manager (Outside Sales) role at Employbridge focuses on attracting new customers and maintaining existing relationships through various communication channels. This position emphasizes consultative account management and strategic market engagement, with a strong potential for commission earnings alongside a base salary.

Responsibilities

  • Attract new customers and maintain existing relationships via phone, social media, face-to-face meetings, and email.
  • Engage with decision makers during the buying process.
  • Target higher quality leads and leverage existing partnerships to expand the prospect funnel.
  • Act as a market leader through connections with networking groups, trade associations, and social media groups.
  • Conduct pre-call planning using market research to gain insights into customer challenges.
  • Provide consultative account management and post-sale support with frequent contact and follow-up.
  • Lead strategic market-related conversations with customers and present additional products based on client needs.

Requirements

  • 2 years of recent outside sales experience.
  • Vivacious attitude, competitive spirit, and love for challenges.
  • Ability to build relationships by interfacing with all levels of an organization, including C-Suite and Directors.
  • Capability to build and grow a book of business in a local territory based on sales ability and business acumen.
  • Proven experience meeting or exceeding weekly goals to bring in new accounts through innovative methods.
