About the position

The Business Development Manager of Partnership Marketing at Sunoco plays a crucial role in driving the strategy and execution of marketing partnerships to support the company's growth and financial success. This position involves identifying and negotiating strategic relationships to enhance Sunoco's partnership portfolio, ultimately contributing to increased sales across over 5,000 gas station locations. The role requires collaboration across various functions and interaction with customers, partners, and senior leaders, reporting directly to the Director of Loyalty Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, evaluate, and manage a pipeline of new opportunities to grow marketing partnerships.
  • Manage strategic relationships with existing partners, including credit card portfolios and grocery partners.
  • Communicate and champion the value of partnering with Sunoco to launch new partnerships.
  • Assist in the negotiation and execution of contracts and oversee the onboarding of new partners.
  • Report results on partner performance to executive management and utilize data for decision-making.
  • Oversee execution, tracking, measurement, and ROI on partnership marketing efforts and campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, and/or partner management.
  • Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint presentation development.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience reviewing performance results and financial impacts.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail fuel or CPG industry preferred.
