As a Business Development Manager focusing on the reciprocating compressor market in North America, you will play a pivotal role in driving business development activities within this sector. You will analyze market and sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and strategic partners, will be crucial as you identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with company objectives. Additionally, you will evaluate the efficiency of current marketing strategies and make recommendations for improvement while staying up to date on industry trends and innovative technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the reciprocating compressor business development activity in North America.
  • Map current North American activity to identify new and existing customers within the traditional market as well as the energy transition market.
  • Present roadmap and define cases for leadership to make forward-looking business decisions for both the new equipment and service organizations.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and trends and use this information to inform business and product development strategies.
  • Develop and implement market segmentation strategies to target specific customer groups.
  • Analyze market and sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones.
  • Develop, build, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with company objectives.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of current marketing strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, new innovative technologies, and standard processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or other relevant fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in customer-facing roles.
  • Strong understanding of the reciprocating market in North America and the various channels to market.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use data and data analysis to problem solve and assist in business decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial mentality with a passion for innovation and creativity.
  • A clear understanding of how to craft profitable products and businesses with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated individual with the capability to work autonomously and efficiently prioritize tasks.
  • International experience working abroad and with different cultures, with the ability to communicate with global team members and customers.
