About the position

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the growth and development of the organization by identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with potential and existing clients. This role involves developing and executing strategies to achieve revenue targets and collaborating closely with the Sales and Program Management teams during project development.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in sales planning and help with the development of new business.
  • Conduct market research and identify potential clients.
  • Develop and present proposals, presentations, and other sales materials.
  • Organize and carry out business development work to ensure customer development meets business needs.
  • Expand new customers through visits, exhibitions, forums, and other forms of outreach.
  • Explore customer needs and provide suggestions for new product development.
  • Organize and promote new business-related activities to expand customer base.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Supervise project development and improve customer relations.
  • Attend to customer needs, handle objections, and maintain good cooperative relations with customers.
  • Negotiate and guide business price negotiations to reach price consensus under reasonable profit margins.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree minimum (business or engineering degree preferred).
  • Tier 1 supplier experience to the automotive, construction equipment, agriculture equipment, new energy market, utility vehicle, or recreational vehicle OEM preferred.
  • Good understanding of basic electrical and mechanical concepts with prior experience in engineering or technical sales.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings preferred.
  • Proficient with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ISO / TS16949 system is a plus.
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and team cooperation.
  • Project Management and/or Business Development skills and expertise.
  • Strong analytical skills including forecasting and program support.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently.
  • Strong work ethics and ability to work autonomously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in automotive sales or related fields.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
