About the position

The Business Development Manager, Supply Chain Solutions is tasked with identifying new business opportunities and trends within a designated geographic area. This role involves coordinating sales management activities to ensure successful execution of sales strategies and providing critical territory intelligence to the Supply Chain Division and other departments. The BDM plays a pivotal role in the sales cycle, from identifying and forecasting sales opportunities to closing deals, while also serving as a lead resource and program expert for other associates in the Supply Chain business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and key business trends in the assigned geography.
  • Coordinate sales management activities for successful execution.
  • Provide territory intelligence to the Supply Chain Division and other departments.
  • Forecast and pursue sales opportunities through the sales cycle to close.
  • Develop sales strategies to achieve budget targets.
  • Generate leads and maintain a sales pipeline to meet budget goals.
  • Design moderate to complex supply chain solutions in response to customer RFQs.
  • Engage with key customers for questions and clarifications on requirements.
  • Oversee assessment of options, cost analysis, and profitability.
  • Prepare or review proposals before submission, including lengthy proposals in Spanish and English.
  • Deliver presentations to customers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development or sales management, particularly in supply chain solutions.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and solutions.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing proposals and presentations.
  • Strong analytical skills for cost analysis and profitability assessments.
