About the position

In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct proactive business development aligned with the division's strategy in countries where business conditions require increased attention and focus. Each day, you will provide business support, including expertise in products, applications, solutions, and segment and customer (group) support for the assigned product portfolio. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring profitable business growth and sustainable deployment of the division's strategic plan. The work model for the role is remote, contributing to the Motion - Drive Products division. You will be mainly accountable for leading and developing water solution sales for Low Voltage Drives at targeted consulting engineers, municipalities, System Integrators, and Accounts. This involves using company resources to establish a differentiated value proposition around ABB drives. You will deliver presentations to explain technical details of ABB VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) to convince the audience of the benefits of specifying and using ABB VFDs. Additionally, you will develop and execute a territory sales plan with the water channel partners in the assigned region to support the assigned sales growth targets. Establishing strong working relationships at multiple levels with key customers is crucial to becoming a trusted advisor and creating preference for ABB products. You will also provide important market and customer feedback to ABB for product improvements and new product development. Maintaining a project pipeline through Salesforce CRM tool and keeping an accurate opportunity funnel to assist sales forecasting will be part of your daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop water solution sales for Low Voltage Drives at targeted consulting engineers, municipalities, System Integrators, and Accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree (engineering or technical degree preferred) and 8 years of relevant sales/business experience or Associate degree and 10 years of relevant sales/business experience required.
  • Prior track record of selling into the municipal water industry including selling to consulting engineers.
  • Market knowledge in LV (Low Voltage) Drives and related systems is preferred.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
