About the position

The Business Development Manager (BDM) at Let's Pave is responsible for driving the company's growth by leading strategic initiatives to identify, develop, and capitalize on new business opportunities. This role involves overseeing the business development team, establishing high-level partnerships, and shaping the company's market strategy to achieve ambitious growth targets. The BDM will work closely with senior leadership to align business development strategies with overall company goals, playing a crucial role in expanding the company's market presence and ensuring long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans to capture new business opportunities and form high-impact partnerships.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform strategy and drive business growth.
  • Lead the creation and presentation of high-level business proposals to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Oversee and refine the lead generation and qualification processes, working closely with the sales development team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prioritize and convert high-potential leads into significant business relationships.
  • Build, manage, and sustain strategic relationships with high-value clients and industry partners.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to clients, addressing their needs and delivering solutions that drive mutual growth.
  • Oversee the management of key accounts to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for further collaboration.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Business Development Managers and Sales Development Representatives.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment of business development efforts with broader company objectives.
  • Conduct advanced market research to identify new opportunities and emerging trends that align with the company's strategic goals.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team based on market analysis and client feedback.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including pipeline health, deal conversion rates, and revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company growth targets and enhance market positioning.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of compelling presentations and pitches to prospective clients and strategic partners.
  • Oversee high-stakes negotiations and deal closures to secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage with prospects.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite) and sales prospecting tools.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex products or services to a B2B audience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in a specific industry related to the company's target market (e.g., tech, SaaS, manufacturing).
  • Knowledge of lead generation best practices and tools.
  • Experience in account-based marketing (ABM) and sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other prospecting tools.
