About the position

The Business Development Manager at PMY Group is responsible for driving growth and building long-term client relationships within the sports and entertainment technology sector. This role focuses on understanding client needs, providing tailored technology solutions, and maintaining expertise in venue technology trends to enhance fan experiences and optimize venue operations.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate Client Relationships by proactively engaging with technology leaders in sports and entertainment venues.
  • Be the Industry Expert by maintaining expertise in venue technology trends and sharing insights with clients.
  • Act as a Trusted Partner by assessing clients' needs and proposing customized solutions that align with PMY's offerings.
  • Drive Revenue Growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Stay Product-Informed by understanding current and emerging technology products from leading manufacturers.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally with PMY's design, project delivery, engineering, and support teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Monitor Market Dynamics by tracking industry developments and competitor offerings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a business development, sales, or similar client-facing role in the sports and entertainment sector.
  • Familiarity with technology systems common in multi-purpose venues (e.g., ICT/Connectivity, Audio/Visual Systems, Scoreboards & Video Displays, Surveillance).
  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships with senior decision-makers and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive market.
  • Able to understand and explain complex technical concepts to clients.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with architects is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
