About the position

BBSI is focused on growth and is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead sales efforts aimed at expanding the client base. The BDM will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities that drive revenue by forging successful, long-term partnerships with prospects. This role is crucial as it represents the BBSI brand to lead sources and prospective clients, necessitating a deep understanding of BBSI's solutions and expertise. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, dynamic, and process-driven, with a strong ability to collaborate within the community to support small businesses. The BDM will present BBSI's offerings and the value they provide to clients, utilizing various marketing channels including client referrals, business associates, direct selling, and other lead sources to identify potential partners. The position requires a driven, success-oriented sales professional who can build multiple distribution channels and maintain strong referral partner relationships. The BDM will lead a team through the process of identifying potential clients, conducting proposal meetings, closing sales, and successfully growing the client base. In this role, the BDM will engage in consultative selling, focusing on value rather than price, and will need to manage initial contacts, sales calls, client meetings, and coordinate schedules with the business unit team. Within the first 60-90 days, the BDM is expected to create a referral network plan and identify primary referral partnerships. By the end of the first year, the BDM will have completed training and will be expected to bring on 2-3 new clients each month. The position reports to the Area Manager and collaborates with other positions within the business unit and branch.
