The Business Development Manager is responsible for increasing sales by developing new business opportunities, as well as leveraging existing sales within the foodservice sector. Focus will be on multi-unit group business, platinum level account retention/growth, and recovery of accounts lost within those parameters. The position requires effective management and development of sales in both current and yet to be discovered foodservice channels through a multi-faceted research approach. The manager will collaborate with the sales staff to identify potential opportunities to meet budgeted sales goals and create a methodical goal-oriented system for each identified sales opportunity. The role demands a high level of closing ability, relationship building with key decision makers, and maintaining oversight of accounts to maximize sales potential. Additionally, the manager will analyze trends, create customer-friendly data presentations, and support corporate business through daily communications.
