About the position

As a Business Development Manager at Preferred Property Maintenance (PPM), a subsidiary of Servicon, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and exceeding financial targets within your assigned territory. This position is designed for a sales dynamo who is ready to carve their path to success. You will be an integral member of our sales team, executing our sales strategy and leveraging your expertise to secure new business while cultivating lasting client relationships. Your mission is clear: deliver results. You will utilize innovative processes and tools to streamline our sales operations, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness in every interaction. With approximately 80% of your time dedicated to driving sales and 20% focused on strategic initiatives, you will be empowered to take ownership of your success. In this role, you will work closely with senior management to develop and implement effective sales strategies. This includes identifying target markets, particularly in the LA County area, determining pricing strategies, analyzing competition, and evaluating market opportunities. You will forecast sales volumes, revenues, and expenses, analyze sales data, generate reports, and present performance updates to senior management. Additionally, you will oversee the development and implementation of customer relationship management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business. Monitoring individual and team sales performance will be a key responsibility, as you track progress against targets and take corrective actions when necessary. This may involve providing additional training, reallocating resources, or revising sales strategies. You will conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities. Furthermore, you will introduce and work with the best technologies to enhance the sales process and increase our company's social presence to drive new clients to PPM. Proactively seeking out new business opportunities through cold calling activities in the commercial, retail, municipal, and manufacturing spaces will also be part of your role. You will manage the entire sales process from lead generation through closing, effectively developing and managing the sales pipeline to achieve annual sales targets, and forming relationships with customers that result in profitable sales of PPM's facility services to new customers.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial building maintenance, including HVAC systems, electrical plumbing, and/or construction industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years sales experience, including demonstrated success adding new customers to a company's portfolio.
  • Minimum 2 years managing a sales team.
  • Ability to generate leads, develop sales strategies, manage all phases of the sales process, and close new business.
  • Ability to work independently to manage accounts and drive revenue.
  • Prior success selling service and maintenance agreements is preferred.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and professionalism.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field preferred, or combined work experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
