The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for leading and motivating a team of Territory Sales Representatives within the South Atlanta region. The BDM will be expected to build strong relationships with key retailers, Independent Operators, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of our sales strategies. In this role, the BDM will collaborate closely with the Regional and Division Manager on all activities and communications, including budgeting, planning, and internal communications for key customers. The BDM will be responsible for selling and executing sales programs for all retailers, which includes national, regional, and independent customers. A significant part of the role involves planning and leading the flawless execution of promotional and marketing programs to optimize investments. The BDM will also identify, solicit, and secure new business opportunities, delivering increased brand ACV across the region. The BDM will be tasked with creating and designing displays to enhance sales and exposure of Ole brands. Implementing shelf schematics and planograms provided by retailers is essential, as is using space to sales strategies to create efficient planograms for local managed accounts where HQ mandated POGs are not provided. Regular customer visits with key retailers in the assigned area are crucial for building sustainable relationships and negotiating display opportunities. The BDM will also be expected to perform additional tasks as required or assigned, ensuring that all company sales objectives and key performance indicators are met within the assigned geography.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and execute sales programs for all retailers, including national, regional, and independent customers.
  • Plan and lead flawless execution of all promotional and marketing programs to optimize investments.
  • Identify, solicit, and secure new business delivering increased brand ACV across the region.
  • Create and design displays to provide higher sales and exposure to Ole brands.
  • Implement shelf schematics/planograms provided by retailers and create efficient planograms for local managed accounts.
  • Ensure weekly customer visits with key retailers to build sustainable relationships and negotiate display opportunities.
  • Perform additional tasks as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • College Degree or Equivalent DSD experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Retail Sales and/or Account Management.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience interacting with Independent Operators.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Results oriented person who is comfortable working with a variety of different customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual candidates (Spanish) preferred but not a requirement.
  • Experience in DSD (Direct Store Delivery) is a plus.
