About the position

The Business Development Manager at HQ Pack is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and prospects in the semiconductor packaging industry. This role involves acting as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring the successful delivery of packaging solutions, and identifying new business opportunities within the US West Region. The position requires a blend of sales acumen, strategic planning, and customer service skills to enhance client satisfaction and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients and new prospects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact to build long-term relationships with customers.
  • Develop and maintain current product knowledge.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's customer base.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and prospective customers.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics.
  • Keep current clients satisfied and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Identify potential client issues and support internal/external stakeholders in resolving them.
  • Communicate the progress of initiatives to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze customer's usage of products.
  • Work with customer service to onboard and integrate new clients.
  • Liaise between the customer and internal teams.
  • Travel to customer sites (approx. 50% of working hours).
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote the company and identify new leads.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or relevant role.
  • Exceptional motivation, desire, and competitiveness; driven to provide the best client-focused solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Sales or business development experience in industrial, transport, or export packaging services is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Semiconductor, Optics, Photonics, or Aerospace markets.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with custom built to print packaging.
  • Experience with cleanroom packaging.
  • Experience with third-party packaging and/or contract packaging services.
