About the position

The Business Development Manager for Thermal Services plays a pivotal role in driving the sales efforts for the Thermal Services business segment at Vertiv. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including the management of thermal contracts, installed solutions, extended warranties, thermal parts, and engineering services. The Business Development Manager will work closely with various sales teams, including the Vertiv Local Vertiv Offices (LVO's), Factory Direct Offices (FDO's), Major Account Sales, and Global Strategic Account sales teams, to promote and sell Vertiv's comprehensive line of Thermal Services. In this role, the Business Development Manager is tasked with developing an overall area strategy aimed at meeting or exceeding established order targets for all Thermal Service contracts and installed solutions. This involves conducting regular sales calls on existing Strategic, Named, and Key Accounts to identify new opportunities and expand existing thermal services and parts offerings. The manager will also be responsible for creating and implementing partnering strategies with LVO's, providing support and training to LVO's sales teams, and coordinating local marketing efforts as part of annual business planning. The successful candidate will be expected to attain sales quotas and planning goals across all assigned product and program areas. This includes performing site walks, delivering customer presentations, and conducting technical reviews as necessary to identify, pursue, and close thermal service and parts opportunities. The role requires a proactive approach to sales and a deep understanding of the thermal services market, ensuring that Vertiv remains competitive and responsive to customer needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development or sales management, particularly in the thermal services or related industry.

  • Ability to develop strategic partnerships and collaborate with various sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.
