About the position

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking an Area Business Development Manager to join our team in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. This position is integral to supporting our on-site guarding business and integrated guarding initiatives. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic sales environment focused on uncovering new business opportunities by leveraging the full range of Securitas offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a hunter mentality, demonstrating the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with diverse internal teams, external resources, and client prospects. You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships, applying business development methodologies, and utilizing various systems and best practices to secure and develop new business. The position requires regular travel within the territory, particularly to and from key locations such as Danbury, Stamford, Hartford, and Shelton. The role involves both tactical fieldwork and strategic administrative tasks, allowing you to engage with prospects in person and through remote contact methods. Responsibilities

  • Support on-site guarding business and integrated guarding initiatives.
  • Regularly travel within the territory to meet clients and prospects.
  • Uncover new business opportunities by leveraging the Securitas portfolio.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external resources.
  • Build and grow an existing network of contacts.
  • Apply business development methodologies to secure new business.
  • Conduct analysis and follow up on leads and sales.
  • Engage in both fieldwork and administrative desk work.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the security industry.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with business development methodologies and best practices.
