Collette is seeking a Business Development Manager for our Orange and Riverside County territory. The ideal candidate must reside within the territory. As the longest-running tour operator in North America, Collette is a family-owned business that leads the industry in innovation and expertise. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling guided travel and identifying potential growth areas, opening new accounts, and developing long-term relationships with guests and travel professionals. This role involves traveling throughout the territory to promote the benefits of Collette travel experiences, actively supporting partner marketing efforts, and presenting to potential travelers on a daily basis. The Business Development Manager will act as a brand ambassador for Collette, partnering with travel professionals to promote and educate them about Collette's products, ultimately producing revenue in the assigned territory while achieving and surpassing sales goals. This position requires closing both B2B and B2C sales through effective communication and critical thinking in alignment with the sales strategy. The manager will strategically prospect for new business to drive revenue and gain market share, leveraging technology, relationships, and in-person meetings. Additionally, the Business Development Manager will develop an understanding of the assigned territory's existing partnerships and potential partnerships to enable a strategic approach in line with sales and company priorities. They will leverage data to ensure activities are aligned with priorities and are having the desired results on revenue and market share. The role also involves partnering with internal departments to ensure customers' needs are communicated, appropriate expectations are set, and repeat business is created. The manager will lead the education of travel professionals regarding the Collette brand, product offerings, special promotions, and techniques to sell Collette tours. Active participation in educational and development programs such as international/domestic sales meetings, product seminars, and trade shows is also expected.
