About the position

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking an Area Business Development Manager for the Connecticut and Western Massachusetts region. This position is integral to supporting the on-site guarding business and integrated guarding initiatives within the Northeast Region. The Area Business Development Manager will be responsible for uncovering new business opportunities across the entire Securitas portfolio, which includes on-site guarding, mobile guarding, remote guarding, electronic security, fire and safety, and corporate risk management. The role requires regular travel within the territory, particularly to key locations such as Hartford, Shelton, Danbury, and Stamford. The ideal candidate for this position is a proactive 'hunter' who thrives in a collaborative sales environment. This individual will be expected to leverage and grow an existing network while also making new introductions to potential clients. The role involves applying business development methodologies and utilizing various systems and best practices to consistently secure and develop new business. The position combines tactical fieldwork, such as building in-person relationships and visiting prospects, with strategic and administrative desk work, including conducting analyses and utilizing remote contact methods to generate leads and follow up on sales. Compensation for this full-time W-2 position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually, along with an $840 monthly car allowance and eligibility for a robust commissions program. Responsibilities

  • Support on-site guarding business and integrated guarding initiatives in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the security industry.
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse internal teams and external clients.
  • Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Familiarity with business development methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct market analysis and identify new opportunities.
