About the position

The Business Development Manager at Siplast, a brand of GAF Commercial, plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team by providing technical product expertise and insights into the commercial roofing market. This remote position requires significant travel (60-80%) to engage with customers and attend events, focusing on PMMA/Liquids Related Solutions. The manager will collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies and tools that enhance product positioning and customer understanding, ultimately driving new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Partner and collaborate with customers seeking feedback on their challenges and opportunities
• Provide product expertise for sales colleagues, including tracking metrics and reporting on market shifts
• Map the customer journey to understand product resonance with customers
• Develop the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy in collaboration with the Marketing team
• Create product-specific marketing tools and materials with the Marketing team
• Communicate technical information effectively to customers
• Provide technical training to sales and support teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical field of study
• 7+ years experience in a technical marketing or sales role
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to present in front of varying size audiences
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Ability to travel as necessary
• Ability to maintain a credit card for business-related expenses
