About the position

As a Business Development Manager at Goosehead Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in our Franchise Development team, which is dedicated to empowering small business owners to establish successful insurance agencies. This position is designed for a highly collaborative, strategic, and self-motivated individual who is eager to contribute to the growth of the company while helping others achieve their professional and financial aspirations. You will be responsible for managing a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), providing them with the coaching and development they need to excel in their roles. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that the BDRs meet and exceed their daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to the overall objectives of the business unit. In this role, you will engage in outbound prospecting to identify and connect with potential new Franchise Owners, showcasing the value of joining the Goosehead family. You will also oversee the training and onboarding processes for new BDRs, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed in their positions. Your ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and development will be essential in driving the team's performance and achieving business goals. The ideal candidate will be a confident and ambitious self-starter, ready to showcase their potential and make a significant impact on the company’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching and developing the Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Conducting continuous learning and training sessions for the BDRs.
  • Engaging in outbound prospecting to identify potential new Franchise Owners.
  • Overseeing the training and onboarding process for new BDRs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development or sales.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in B2B or B2C sales or a related college major.
  • Strong networking abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated coachability, grit, and perseverance.
  • Competitive nature and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • High integrity and honest communication.
