About the position

The Business Development Manager at Plastic Molding Technology LLC is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share within the injection molding industry. This role involves developing marketing strategies, establishing sales goals, and leading a team to enhance company profitability. The position requires collaboration with engineering and sales teams to ensure effective quoting and customer engagement, while also exploring new market opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Establish sales goals to expand market share and enhance company profitability
  • Develop marketing plans and programs in coordination with company leadership to ensure profit growth and expansion of company products and services
  • Explore new markets and develop strategies for successful entry into new markets
  • Implement practical, timely solutions to remove obstacles to sales growth
  • Motivate, train and lead a team of marketing, cost estimating and sales personnel
  • Establish rapport quickly with potential customers and prospects
  • Make regular customer sales calls and track sales funnel progress in HubSpot
  • Develop and remain accountable to department KPIs and sales process
  • Consult and collaborate with Engineering Manager on estimating & quoting of the company's products
  • Negotiate with outside suppliers to obtain best pricing on raw materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
  • 6 to 8 years of experience including quoting, injection molding and/or industrial sales
  • Previously completed coursework in sales/marketing, plastics, estimating, engineering, injection molding and/or finance and accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with a CRM system and quoting software
  • Knowledge of basic engineering principles and processes
  • Able to complete ongoing training for sales, business development, management and/or engineering
