About the position

As a Business Development Manager at Chart Industries, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's success by consistently delivering profitable growth through value-added solutions for our customers. This position is primarily focused on developing strategic territory business plans, budgets, and forecasts by product and market, while establishing new customer relationships and supporting existing key customers. You will provide the Sales and Marketing organization with insights into customer and market opportunities, data analysis, competitive intelligence, and trends to drive and achieve the Aftermarket Strategy. Your day-to-day activities will involve leading and executing both internal and external sales strategies that enable customer success, while adapting and innovating to meet market demands. You will collaborate with the Aftermarket Team to develop, communicate, and execute integration and cross-functional competencies that drive developmental synergies. Establishing, implementing, and communicating SMART goals and objectives alongside management peers will be a key accountability. Additionally, you will work to increase visibility of our Install Base and generate opportunities by evaluating the market against competitors. Assisting the Sales team in closing contracts through effective value propositions and key positioning with Global capabilities will be essential. You will also be responsible for providing accurate reports to monitor performance measurements and targets established for Sales, while enhancing sales effectiveness through educational offerings and marketing materials. Recognizing customer needs and introducing bundling opportunities that achieve both customer solutions and profitable growth will be part of your role. Furthermore, you will promote a culture of continuous improvement and gather critical site information to prospect for additional opportunities, utilizing the Infor Customer Relationship Management tool.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related area or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business development, including sales, marketing, product management, and customer service.
  • Intimate understanding of the Industrial & Power markets related to the Energy Industry.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment in the air and gas handling industry.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Experience in managing distribution, packaging, and sales representatives.
  • Strong selling and customer/market development skills.
  • Strong negotiation and customer issue resolution skills.
  • Effective analytical skills and proven ability to negotiate T&Cs.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to work independently.
