About the position

UnionPay International is seeking a Business Development Manager to enhance the acceptance quality of UnionPay services among key merchants in the U.S. This role involves conducting merchant audits, providing training, and developing local market strategies to support key merchants and acquirers. The position is based in Jersey City, NJ, and requires a proactive approach to business development and partnership management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct merchant audits and provide training to key merchants to enhance acceptance quality.
  • Approach and negotiate with key merchants regarding UnionPay acceptance and promotional activities.
  • Partner with acquirers and merchants to understand their needs and customize product solutions as necessary.
  • Promote UnionPay card acceptance across various platforms including POS, ATM, and online payments.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for increasing transaction volume of UnionPay cards.
  • Negotiate business agreements and develop new business partnerships.
  • Communicate regularly with HQ business and product teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • At least 2 years of related working experience.
  • Technical background in the financial industry is a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software.
  • Programming skills are a plus.
  • Ability to make frequent business travels.
