About the position

PCS Security Solutions (PCS-SS) is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. This full-time position is pivotal in driving the growth of our physical and electronic security business within commercial and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and capturing new business opportunities, implementing marketing strategies, and building relationships with prospective customers. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, with a focus on maximizing revenue and achieving sales objectives related to security products and services. In this role, you will be tasked with preparing accurate sales forecasts, call reports, and sales activity reports. You will identify new opportunities for business expansion and assist in the development of marketing action plans tailored for key and target accounts. Your responsibilities will also include creating professional customer presentations and proposals, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring that our services meet their requirements. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the company’s brand recognition and financial growth by researching market trends, prospective accounts, and competitors. The Business Development Manager will represent PCS-SS at trade shows and industry events, promoting our services through various channels, including social media. This position requires a strong commitment to achieving and maintaining industry certifications and adhering to company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to succeed, be money motivated, and have a proven track record in sales, particularly in the security or technology sectors. You will need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and capture new physical and electronic security business in commercial/industrial accounts.
  • Maximize sales of assigned products and services to achieve sales objectives.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, call reports, and sales activity reports.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand the business.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing action plans for key and target accounts.
  • Develop customer presentations and proposals that ensure professionalism and results.
  • Maintain contacts with customers regarding their requirements and company services.
  • Research and review market trends, prospective accounts, and competitors.
  • Plan and create business strategies, setting goals for growth.
  • Implement and pursue leads, researching new initiatives and identifying new products.
  • Monitor and report potential market and industry changes to stakeholders.
  • Represent and promote the company at trade shows and industry events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or marketing, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in security sales.
  • 1 year of experience in business development.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to install, terminate, configure, and program security devices, CCTV, Access Control, and intrusion alarms.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in computer and smartphone skills.
