About the position

The Business Development Manager at Siplast, a brand of GAF Commercial, plays a crucial role in driving new business opportunities within the commercial roofing sector. This remote position requires extensive travel (60-80%) to engage with customers and support the sales team by providing technical product expertise, particularly in PMMA/Liquids Related Solutions. The role involves collaborating with marketing to develop effective go-to-market strategies and ensuring that the sales team is well-equipped to communicate product benefits effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Partner and collaborate with customers seeking feedback on their challenges and opportunities
  • Provide product expertise for sales colleagues, including tracking metrics and reporting on market shifts
  • Map the customer journey to understand product resonance with customers
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy
  • Hone key messaging and develop product-specific marketing tools with the Marketing team
  • Effectively communicate technical information to customers
  • Provide technical training to sales and support teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical field of study
  • 7+ years experience in a technical marketing or sales role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
  • Ability to present in front of varying size audiences
  • Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Ability to maintain a credit card for business-related expenses
