About the position
The Business Development Manager (BDM) role is focused on expanding market presence by identifying and securing new business opportunities in Cheltenham, PA. The BDM will engage in outside sales activities, including cold calling and relationship-building, while also managing existing client relationships to drive revenue growth. This position requires regular in-person meetings and is not remote.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business through cold calling, prospecting, and face-to-face meetings.
- Build and maintain client relationships through regular check-ins and consultative account management.
- Gain market knowledge with a focus on logistics and manufacturing.
- Manage CRM documentation in Salesforce to track sales activities and performance metrics.
- Cover the designated territory, focusing on the Cheltenham area.
- Participate in team meetings and activities at least 3-4 days a week.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of sales experience with a strong track record of success.
- Strong outside sales experience and ability to maintain client relationships.
- Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle liability insurance.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with Salesforce for tracking sales activities.
