About the position

Want to join a dynamic team that provides Electronic Warfare capabilities to our nations warfighters? This position has leadership responsibilities for new business, Keep Sold and strategy development. As a Business Development (BD) Manager in our TACAir, (Tactical Aircraft) product line within our Electronic Combat Solutions Business Area, you will be charged with identifying, qualifying, and maintaining a funnel of new business opportunities, and supporting growth initiatives for the organization. This position will require an energetic and proactive leadership style and a fundamental understanding of the U.S. DoD and International Airborne Electronic Warfare market and focused on solving near and far term Warfighter problems. This position includes the identification, creation, development and qualification of new and existing business opportunities for the ECS Business Area. To accomplish these tasks, the candidate will have the ability to engage and influence the full range of U.S DoD customers and International equivalents from operators to senior decision makers, understand customer hot buttons, apply strategic filters to assess potential solutions and their business cases, and understand the competitive landscape. Other responsibilities include leading in-depth reviews of competitors, developing Price to Wins and being the voice of the customer to the business capture and program teams. The candidate will also contribute to strategy development for the TACAir product line and support to product line Leadership Team for all new business activities, including management reviews. This candidate is expected to work independently while being well aligned with the TACAir strategy and leadership team. Desired Experience: Prior DoD headquarters staff, Electronic Warfare operational experience and/or acquisition experience. International Business and Cultural experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and maintain a funnel of new business opportunities for the ECS Business Area.
  • Support growth initiatives for the organization.
  • Engage and influence U.S. DoD customers and International equivalents from operators to senior decision makers.
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of competitors and develop Price to Wins.
  • Act as the voice of the customer to the business capture and program teams.
  • Contribute to strategy development for the TACAir product line.
  • Assist in the assessment of the business environment to identify emerging/growth markets.
  • Coordinate with Senior Business Development Managers, Engineers, and Operations to align technologies with customer requirements.
  • Generate and maintain Orders Forecasts for assigned market area.
  • Function as capture team lead on pursuits through Bid/No Bid decision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with the DoD requirements process, particularly USAF & US Navy.
  • Experience with International FMS and DCS processes.
  • Ability to understand the Electronic Warfare market and translate warfighter needs into business opportunities.
  • Prior DoD headquarters staff, Electronic Warfare operational experience and/or acquisition experience.

Nice-to-haves
