About the position

GPI seeks an enthusiastic Business Development professional to join our Metro DC Building Systems Operation, which includes offices in Rockville, MD; Olney, MD; and Fairfax, VA. The candidate will perform various duties, including attending daytime and evening industry events in the Metro DC area, customer interface, and new business development across various market sectors. The candidate will also manage social media and email outreach campaigns and contribute to other marketing responsibilities. This role will be a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their skill set while being part of a highly motivated and supportive team. This hybrid position requires a presence in the Rockville, MD office each week to be scheduled around business development activities. Responsibilities

  • Work directly with senior leadership to seek out prospective business opportunities with new and existing customers
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships consistent with company image and company goals
  • Create social media posts and email communications within our existing brand style guide
  • Additional marketing responsibilities as required

Requirements

  • Prior experience and work in the Metro DC AEC Industry
  • Associates or Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Knowledge of Social Media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work well under pressure
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Professional attire required
  • Own transportation required for Business Development activities in the Metro DC region, including Maryland and Virginia
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
