About the position

The Business Development Manager role at AWS focuses on leading and growing a team dedicated to accelerating the adoption of Amazon Web Services through Training & Certification services. This position is critical for maintaining AWS's leadership as a preferred cloud platform by developing and executing strategies that bridge skills gaps and enhance customer trust. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, particularly in technical certification and enterprise skill programs, and will be responsible for driving growth and shaping the future of AWS Training and Certification services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a regional or sub-regional program strategy for AWS Training and Certification.
  • Bridge skills gaps and build trust with key stakeholders in AWS Training and Certification teams and field sales leadership.
  • Think strategically and analytically about business, product, and rollout.
  • Build and convey compelling enterprise skill, certification, training partner, and public training programs.
  • Work cross-organizationally to build the right customer programs at the right time.
  • Drive closure of AWS Training and Certification opportunities and enable channel partners to develop successful AWS training practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements experience.
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
