About the position

The Business Development Operations Senior Manager at Northrop Grumman is a leadership role focused on enhancing business development processes and operations within the Space Sector. This position requires a strong leader who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage a team, and collaborate across various levels of the organization. The role involves overseeing pipeline management, customer relationship management, and supporting the implementation of best practices in business development operations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Salesforce and sector pipeline tools.
  • Ensure the development and delivery of sector-level operations data and reports for executive leadership.
  • Develop innovative methods for visualizing and automating data from Salesforce and Tableau.
  • Facilitate reviews and reporting with sector BD leadership, preparing materials and delivering insights.
  • Support the implementation of business development best practices and rigorous opportunity management.
  • Design and deliver training for pipeline tools in various formats.
  • Liaise with corporate and sector Digital Transformation teams to develop project roadmaps.
  • Coordinate the development of functional business requirements and user stories for Agile development.
  • Manage a team of two BD Ops analysts, supporting their professional growth and performance.
  • Drive execution of business development operations initiatives and projects across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related professional/military experience, or a Master's degree and 8 years of related experience.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance at the time of application.
  • Experience in business development, operations, finance, program management, or project management.
  • Experience leading a team of two or more direct reports.
  • Five years of experience in aerospace and/or defense industries.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and executive-level reporting.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
  • Experience in business development or capture roles.
  • Familiarity with LX, SharePoint, S-Docs, and Tableau.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
  • Strong data analytic capability and attention to detail.
