About the position

The Business Development Operations Senior Manager at Northrop Grumman is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and managing a team of analysts. This position focuses on developing learning curricula, digital tools, and ensuring the effective execution of business development strategies. The role requires a strong leader who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate across various organizational levels to enhance business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of three BD Ops analysts, ensuring development, integration, and delivery of division-level operations data and products.
  • Facilitate pipeline reviews with Strategy & Growth and Division leadership, preparing readahead materials and delivering insights from pipeline data.
  • Support the scheduling and execution of BAP Phase 1 Gate Reviews.
  • Serve as the sector focal point for the tradeshow process and continuous process improvement.
  • Support meeting and event management, including trade shows and conferences.
  • Develop best practices on CRM, ensuring data fidelity and delivering insights to leadership.
  • Lead sector implementation of BD best practices and overall sector pipeline management.
  • Create and execute the Strategy & Growth learning and development curriculum.
  • Drive execution of strategic initiatives and projects initiated by Strategy & Growth leadership.
  • Prepare leadership for meetings and events with logistical support and presentation materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related professional/military experience, or a Master's degree and 8 years of related experience.
  • Experience in business development, operations, program management, or project management.
  • Experience leading direct reports.
  • Experience with the business acquisition process (BAP) and/or capture management.
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with data analysis and executive-level reporting/presentation.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships as a trusted advisor to the Business Development team.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
