About the position

Extreme Plates, LLC is seeking a highly driven and proactive Business Development Professional to join our team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with prospective new clients while nurturing existing client relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for both maintaining existing accounts and identifying new opportunities to expand those accounts and acquire new clients, particularly in the Southern California region.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and cold calling.
  • Develop relationships with purchasing professionals by visiting construction job sites and professional offices.
  • Provide competitive and accurate job cost estimates and prepare proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts by reading civil plans and assessing client needs.
  • Reach out to prospective and existing clients through cold calling, networking events, and referrals.
  • Develop creative strategies to generate leads and secure new accounts.
  • Maintain accurate pipelines in the CRM and organize tasks for timely follow-up.
  • Attend daily meetings with the client service team to discuss strategies and document progress in the CRM.
  • Respond promptly to client communications and emergencies.

Requirements

  • At least three years of Business-to-Business sales experience in the construction industry or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development in the Southern California region.
  • Strong accountability and commitment to follow through on promises.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and no DUIs.
  • Proficient computer skills, including CRM, Google Docs, and email marketing.
  • Excellent closing skills and ability to meet and exceed activity expectations.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven to succeed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in outside sales as a B2B Account Executive.
  • Familiarity with erosion control and SWPPP services.
