About the position

As a Business Development Representative at Stratus Building Solutions, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the #1 commercial cleaning company in the United States. This position is designed for ambitious sales professionals who are eager to develop and implement effective sales strategies within a B2B environment. You will be responsible for establishing and nurturing trusted business relationships while driving both recurring and one-time sales contracts across a wide geographic territory. With extensive training and strong support teams, you will gain the skills necessary to sell with confidence and achieve your sales goals. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the entire sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to proposal development and contract negotiations. You will develop and execute strategic business development plans aimed at achieving company growth objectives and increasing market share. Building and maintaining consultative relationships with key clients and industry partners will be essential to fostering long-term business partnerships. Staying informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes will enable you to identify innovative business opportunities and effectively position Stratus' comprehensive solutions. In this role, you will also be expected to continuously assess and report on your sales cycle activity, pipeline development, and sales goal tracking using the CRM tool, HubSpot. Collaboration with internal teams, including Franchise Business Consultants and Office Managers, will be vital to understanding client needs and ensuring a seamless transition of trust with operational partners. Responsibilities

  • Drive the entire sales process, including prospecting, management of self-generated and company provided leads, proposal development, contract and pricing negotiations, RFP responses, delivery of customized presentations and post close contract implementation.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans within a designated geographic territory to achieve company growth objectives, increased market share, and positioning of Stratus' local presence and comprehensive solutions across diverse industries.
  • Build and maintain consultative relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to foster long-term business partnerships.
  • Stay up to date on industry and market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to identify innovative business opportunities.
  • Continuously assess and report on sales cycle activity, pipeline development, and sales goal tracking through the use of the CRM tool (HUBSPOT) and ongoing communication to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Franchise Business Consultants, Office Managers, and the Regional Director to learn about the client's needs, position Stratus' comprehensive solutions, and deliver a seamless transition of trust with the operational partner - the Franchise Owner.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong sales skills, quantified by either a proven B2B track record or SBS sales assessment test
  • Ability to generate leads by cold calling and networking
  • Ability to help set goals that meet or exceed the company targets
  • Ability to build relationships and nurture prospects
  • Persuasive ability to overcome objections and CLOSE SALES

  • Ability to travel throughout all areas of the territory, including some overnight travel
  • Previous experience with a CRM (IE Salesforce, Hubspot, etc) and google-based apps
