About the position

The Business Development Representative (BDR) in Event Sales at IST Management is responsible for promoting Halidom Eatery by engaging in B2B sales activities, including cold calling and conducting tours for prospective clients. This role is essential for maintaining a full event pipeline and ensuring the private event space is utilized effectively. The BDR will work on-site at IST Management HQ and Halidom Eatery, leveraging their communication skills and industry experience to drive sales and foster relationships with local businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cold-calling and other B2B sales functions to reach out to local businesses and associations.
  • Keep the event pipeline and private event space full by developing new business and expanding existing business.
  • Work in tandem with the Events Director and staff at Halidom Eatery.
  • Lead event space tours and make compelling presentations to decision-makers.
  • Complete reporting and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of B2B cold calling experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in the hospitality/events industry is a huge plus.
  • History of Event Sales in the hospitality/restaurant industry.
  • Confidence in networking with past and potential clients.
  • Computer skills, including internet savvy and social media management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Legal authorization to work for any employer in the US.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospitality or event sales.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools.
