About the position

The Business Development Representative Intern at PTC will focus on identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities for Onshape's product development platform. This role is designed to help interns develop business-to-business sales skills while working closely with an experienced sales network to grow pipeline and revenue. The intern will engage with potential clients, demonstrating the value of Onshape and nurturing leads until they are ready to be passed on to sales executives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities for Onshape's product development platform.
  • Prospect into whitespace accounts and target senior level decision makers.
  • Manage adversity and consult prospects who may not recognize a need or pain yet.
  • Investigate and understand the internal business processes of potential clients.
  • Demonstrate the value of Onshape through various communication channels.
  • Drive the velocity of opportunities further down the sales cycle.
  • Nurture identified opportunities until they are ready to be passed onto a sales executive.
  • Provide visibility on efforts using sales tools such as SalesLoft and SalesForce.com.

Requirements

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of business and business practices.
