About the position

The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Tricentis is responsible for managing inbound lead flow and executing outbound prospecting initiatives. This role involves conducting high-level discovery conversations with target accounts, collaborating with various teams to develop strategies, and utilizing industry knowledge to generate interest and develop accounts. The BDR will also mentor new hires and work closely with marketing to drive attendance at events, all while tracking activities and results using Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage inbound lead flow and execute outbound prospecting initiatives.
  • Conduct high-level discovery conversations in target accounts.
  • Meet or exceed BDR sourced Opportunity volume targets.
  • Collaborate with teammates to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities.
  • Utilize business and industry knowledge to research accounts and identify key players.
  • Generate interest and create compelling events to develop accounts.
  • Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Field and Corporate Marketing to drive attendance at regional marketing events.
  • Act as a mentor for new BDR hires in navigating their key accounts.
  • Work with Digital Marketing to develop targeted marketing tactics against assigned target accounts.

Requirements

  • Excited about working cross-functionally with sales and marketing departments.
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills.
  • Self-starter with a track record of successful achievements.
  • Knowledge of business processes, roles, and organizational structure.
  • Determined personality with a desire to grow and win.

  • Proficient in using Salesforce and Salesloft (or similar products).
  • 2 years work experience in a professional environment.
  • Previous tech industry experience or experience in sales development, marketing, and/or sales is a plus.
  • Outbound prospecting experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
