About the position

The Business Development Representative (BDR) role at Coolray Heating and Cooling involves working onsite at partner retail locations to engage with customers face-to-face. The primary purpose of this position is to generate interest in scheduling service appointments for residential furnace and air-conditioning maintenance and replacement. The ideal candidate is motivated, sales-driven, and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, with a competitive spirit.

Responsibilities

  • Autonomous work in the field at one of our partner retail locations.
  • Greet customers in the store, encouraging them to stop and learn about the company's products and services.
  • Engage customers in conversation and connect them with our in-house call center to schedule an appointment.
  • Build relationships with customers who may be interested in reaching back out at a later date for themselves, friends, or family members.
  • Attend weekly or monthly meetings and trainings.
  • Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation and a smartphone (Bring your own device stipend offered).
  • Weekend availability required.
  • Strong work ethic to perform independently with minimal supervision.
  • At least 18 years of age.
