About the position

The Business Development Representative at TruGreen is responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans within an assigned territory, focusing on business-to-business opportunities. This role involves generating and securing new sales through cold calling and prospecting, primarily targeting property management firms, landscape companies, and various corporate entities in need of lawn care services. The position offers uncapped commission potential and is part of a growing commercial sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals and execute sales plans to small, medium, and large businesses.
  • Conduct 75-80% cold calling to generate new business.
  • Call on property managers, landscapers, school systems, sports facilities, government facilities, restaurants, banks, and other corporate entities.
  • Present proposals for lawn care services and programs, obtaining long-term contracts.
  • Generate new business-to-business sales revenue by prospecting and adding new commercial customers.
  • Negotiate pricing and design using custom-based technology and devices.
  • Utilize a CRM system to manage projects, opportunities, and contact information, including forecasting reports.
  • Coordinate project management duties across multiple service departments.

Requirements

  • 5 years of B2B sales experience required.
  • 5 years of cold calling experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of lawn care products and services.
