About the position

The Business Development Representative at TruGreen is responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans within an assigned territory. This role focuses on generating and securing new business-to-business sales opportunities, primarily through cold calling and prospecting. The representative will engage with various corporate entities, including property management firms and sports facilities, to present proposals for lawn care services and secure long-term contracts. This position offers the potential for uncapped commissions and career progression within the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals and execute sales plans to small, medium, and large businesses.
  • Conduct 75-80% cold calling to generate new business.
  • Call on property managers, landscapers, school systems, sports facilities, government facilities, restaurants, banks, and other corporate entities.
  • Present proposals for lawn care services and programs, obtaining long-term contracts.
  • Generate new business-to-business sales revenue by prospecting and adding new commercial customers.
  • Negotiate pricing and design using custom-based technology and devices.
  • Utilize a CRM system to manage projects, opportunities, and contact information, including forecasting reports.
  • Coordinate project management duties across multiple service departments.

Requirements

  • 5 years of B2B sales experience required.
  • 5 years of cold calling experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to relocate to Macomb, MI 48042 before starting work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
