About the position

The Business Development Representative at SAMES MOTOR CO INC is responsible for driving growth by developing and nurturing business relationships with current and prospective customers. This role involves coordinating incoming requests, making appointments for the sales/service team, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Success is measured by the conversion of leads into actual sales.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth by developing and nurturing business relationships with customers.
  • Coordinate incoming online and telephone requests and make appointments for the sales/service team.
  • Handle all guest inquiries with a focus on 100% guest satisfaction.
  • Receive inbound calls on new and pre-owned vehicles to establish appointment dates and times.
  • Project a friendly and helpful demeanor while answering questions and inquiries from guests.
  • Maintain and communicate exceptional product and inventory knowledge to guests.
  • Gather and track guest data accurately in the BDC database.
  • Utilize detailed scripts to address guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Work closely with other Sales BDC Representatives in a team environment.
  • Facilitate timely follow-up on all internet leads as directed by management.
  • Adhere to company direction related to the National Do Not Call List and Privacy Acts.
  • Communicate with dealership management or front-line employees on behalf of guests.
  • Participate in departmental and dealership meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills via phone, one-on-one, and online.
  • Proficient in basic math and writing skills.
  • Proven customer service track record or a strong desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • Comfortable in a high-paced, competitive environment.
  • Ability to pass drug testing and background investigation.
