About the position

The Business Development Representative at Rheem Manufacturing will serve as the primary point of contact for key customer accounts, focusing on addressing their business and logistics needs. This role is integral to the Sales Strategy & Execution team, contributing to strategy creation and execution through analysis and tool adoption. The representative will collaborate closely with sales leaders and teams to solve business problems and enhance customer relationships, specifically within the Commercial Water business.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for high-value customers, maintaining regular communications and building strong, trusted relationships.
  • Develop knowledge of customer behaviors, goals, and challenges to proactively offer solutions.
  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring customer needs are prioritized across functions including Sales, CX, Operations, and product development.
  • Assist with regular customer business reviews.
  • Address and resolve complex customer issues with urgency and in an effective manner utilizing cross-department coordination.
  • Identify growth opportunities to expand existing relationships.
  • Monitor and analyze customer account metrics while using data to assist with strategy and decision making.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on customer account status, feedback, and metrics to management.
  • Assist in creating and executing business plans to accelerate sales.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience in customer account management, customer service, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales is preferred.
