About the position

The Business Development Sales Associate at Allied Universal plays a crucial role in supporting field sales activities in the southeast region. This position is designed to drive key performance indicators and sales results by assisting Sales Executives and local Business Development Managers with various job functions, including telemarketing support, creating presentations, and other sales administrative tasks. The role emphasizes building relationships with prospects, managing a sales pipeline, and contributing to the overall growth of the company through effective sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Cold call and build rapport with prospects, transitioning inquiries into responsive prospects to develop a sales pipeline.
  • Identify new sales opportunities through bid-portals and initiate outbound contact to potential leads.
  • Schedule face-to-face appointments for Business Development Managers and collaborate on proposal submissions.
  • Pull wage analysis information to assist in developing proposals, pricing, and contracts for new clients.
  • Maintain CRM records and report on sales cycle activity and pipeline development.
  • Drive company growth through sales efforts and contribute to meeting or exceeding sales expectations.
  • Evaluate client requests prior to proposal submission and participate in pre-proposal meetings.
  • Manage community relationships and attend relevant associations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based computers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both over the phone and in person.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize customer relationship management software to drive sales.
  • Collaborative skills to partner with sales and operations teams.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, clients, and prospects.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • High-level writing skills for proposal development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably in a service industry.
  • Experience using Salesforce.
