About the position

The Business Development Sales Lead (BDL) at EssilorLuxottica is responsible for driving growth in the channel by working directly with accounts and local synergy teams. The role focuses on achieving top line growth and sales goals by increasing compliance with the EL360 program and signing new customer contracts. The BDL will support Vision Source customers and Diamond Plus accounts, demonstrating the company's value proposition and helping to develop business through formalized quarterly business reviews and tailored action plans.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth in the channel by working directly with accounts and local synergy teams.
  • Increase EL360 compliance and sign new customer contracts with EL360.
  • Support Vision Source customers and Diamond Plus accounts with EL360.
  • Perform quarterly business reviews to ensure account compliance and identify sales opportunities.
  • Support Diamond Plus accounts in achieving growth milestones for loyalty rewards eligibility.
  • Collaborate with local sales teams to pass leads and close sales opportunities identified during reviews.
  • Generate leads by enrolling new doors onto the EL360 contract.
  • Act as the lead point of contact for EL360 matters within local synergy.
  • Meet regularly with local sales teams to brainstorm opportunities and align priorities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of solutions for existing EL360 and Diamond Plus accounts.
  • Utilize competitive knowledge to recommend opportunities for market share growth.
  • Attend local and national events, which may require evening or weekend work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales/Business Management or similar field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in account management or a similar role in the optical industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in providing formal business reviews.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective interaction and negotiation.
  • Strong initiative and sense of urgency in problem-solving.
  • Ability to generate creative solutions quickly.
  • Collaborative mindset to work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
